Really enjoyed photographing these siblings for their First Communion Photo Session in my Marlton, New Jersey Studio. I love the variety of formal poses with dramatic lighting to resemble fine art paintings, close ups with smiles to reflect their personalities and just silly images at the end of their photo session. I let them use any of the studio props to create their own funny pose and wow do they go crazy with ideas! First Communion pictures are heirloom moments in your child’s life, therefore, patience and time is utilized to create these images. My New Jersey Studio Motto is: Be recognized, Be yourself.
My Marlton, New Jersey Studio was a perfect place to photograph this little girl’s First Communion Photo Session. I believe that these milestone sessions are very important and should not be rushed. Different backdrops and lighting techniques are used to give several “looks” to the images. Many times the image resembles a painted style. Children at this age are usually around 7 to 8 and patience is the key to a great photo. The kids really enjoy “playing model” and the last image taken is a pose that I let them create. Most times they let “off steam” and do something silly!

I have the pleasure of photographing this family for many years, starting with the parent’s wedding and special highlights in the children’s lives. Their father owns a Extreme Karate & Fitness in Huntingdon Valley, Pa and every year I do school pictures of all the students so I have seen these girls be warriors as well as little princesses. My Studio in Marlton, New Jersey provided a great location for the Communion Photography Session and of course her older sister participates in the pictures too! I always let the kids be silly in a few images which shows true personalities and relaxes them. Always fun times with the Leibert Family!
I always enjoy photographing these two sisters. Their parents have raised them to be so nice and polite. The older sister was receiving her First Communion so we did a beautiful photography session of this milestone moment in her life. Her younger sister wore a pretty gown to compliment the formal session. A heirloom brooch and her mother’s wedding day hairpiece were also incorporated in the session. All images took place in my South Jersey studio with several changes to the backdrop scenes which require the girls to be patient, however, at the end the girls let loose with their crazy funny pose! Have a wonderful Communion Day!
A “No Rush”, Clean and Personal Attention Studio in Marlton, New Jersey.
This little girl could not have been more polite and sweet during her First Communion Session. She posed like a “model”. The day was so beautiful that we ventured outside my South Jersey Studio and photographed a few more casual Communion poses. Funny story behind this session, her mother forgot her dress shoes and had to go home to get them. About a month later I photographed her brother’s engagement session and he forgot his casual shoes too, so we called his mom to bring them. The formal shoes and shorts just were not going to work together! Looking forward to seeing this family again at her brother’s December wedding. I will have to send them a “memo” to bring their shoes! lol
Capturing this Religious Milestone is so important. Do you ever look through “old photographs” of your parents? Well someday these portraits will be viewed by future generations. Such wonderful memories to be shared. We offer studio and on-location sessions for this portrait event. Our studio scenes feature contemporary as well as old master style backdrops. The poses consists of serious looks to resemble the old master style as well as those “big smiles” to showoff the child’s personality.
This little girl had her religious event captured with a scenic portrait session at Longwood Gardens. A beautiful album of these images was made for her and her parents to treasure for a lifetime. She not only “played model” with serious poses but also laughed through out the day having so much fun! She was the BEST! My indoor Photography Studio is located in Marlton, New Jersey if you would prefer a Studio Session. Several backdrops and props to select for your child’s First Communion Photo Session.
