How soon should I do a Maternity Photo Session?

We usually suggest to have your maternity photography session between week 30 to 36 into your pregnancy. At this time period, you have a baby bump that shows and you are still feeling comfortable and flexible for the poses. Doing your photos at a later time runs the risk that you may not feel so great or you may even deliver earlier than expected.

Prior to your photography we will discuss clothing, makeup and location of your session.

We do offer maternity dresses to be utilized if desired.

Our Marlton, New Jersey Studio is available for indoor or outdoor maternity sessions.

These sessions are not “rushed” so appointments are not booked “back to back”. A variety of artistic lighting techniques and posing is used to create your works of art.

Items available are Retouched Digital Images as well as “High End Print Products”.

Being one of 8 children growing up in a large family, I am use to being around babies. In those days, if you were one of the last children being born, you were lucky to even have a photograph of yourself as an infant. Lots of photos of the first child and the amount dwindle with each additional kid! haha!

In today’s world the birth of a child is celebrated with beautiful newborn photography. My Favorite Style is to feature the parents and siblings in these images. They represent the love shared by the family with the new baby addition. With that being said, we offer “In-Studio” in Marlton, New Jersey or “Life Style” Sessions at your home.

More focus is spent on interactions with the newborn and a capture of a few “Sleeping Baby” poses.

I met this family at a Newborn Cord Blood Registry Meeting when expecting their second child. They were so excited about the birth and we decided to capture the new baby with a photo session in my Marlton, New Jersey Studio.

This little baby must have been aware of his older brother and did not sleep much. However, he smiled and was very alert which pleased his sibling and parents. Although, I encourage people to schedule their Newborn Photo Session within the first 10 days of birth to capture those little sleeping baby poses, it does not always happen. My Style is to show the baby’s hands and feet in some of the images rather than just a wrap with only the head visible. There is nothing cuter than a newborn’s little body!

I have shared many events with this family including their engagement, wedding, first child newborn, beach and second child sitter session. With that being said, I feel like they are now part of my extended family!

For variety we decided to photograph their second child at the 6 month sitter stage. Although my Studio is in Marlton, New Jersey, we met at Smithville Park early in the morning when little ones are the happiest. The weather was great and we walked around the park for pretty photo areas. Lots of giggles and hugs took place which resulted in the beautiful images.

I am always happy to visit a local park to explore with your family and capture fun images. My style is to let the children play, looking at each other and also capturing those images smiling to the camera. Once a child is allowed to “play” those smiles will come naturally and it doesn’t hurt to have a funny photographer to make them laugh!

Welcome baby number three to this family! Not only did we capture the baby poses but also included the family in this Newborn Photo Session. Their new baby brother slept through most of the Photo Session and the kids just laughed and giggled at his tiny little face.

This wonderful family came to my Photography Studio in Marlton, New Jersey for a Christening Photo Session. When I photograph babies, I do not like to “rush” the session so we will get the best results for a heirloom portrait. This little 3 month old baby slept, whimpered, ate and giggled through her session so patience was the key element. Her smiles are just the best so sweet! My South Jersey Studio provides a vast selection of baby photo props as well as backdrops and of course lots of “patience”!
